The Burgh » Mike OOT?

I've seen signs around about Mike Oot for Congress but cannot locate any information online, can anyone help?

It seems the site isn't being much monitored after all, but thanks all the same, LifeorLiberty.  Actually, there seems to be very little activity by any of the members, as well.  I may check back in the future to see if things have picked up.

Thanks for the civil debates, everyone; it's been fun!

Great luck in keeping the site alive and well -- take care!

Thanks for the info, Life -- I've been a member of many community sites over the years and have noticed that the first sign of "trouble" is when things go unchecked, unanswered.  Something starts off as a great idea, but mods/admins/owners lose interest -- or worse -- a site is built with the intent that it can/will coast on autopilot once the software is installed.  I hope that neither of these are the case here.

I, too, enjoy a healthy and civil debate -- as well as the lack of profanity. I believe that people use profanity to fill in the gaps when they have nothing of importance to say, so when I see a lot of it, I automatically assume that it's nothing but hot air and not worth the time to even read it.  I don't mind a bit of sarcasm, but do feel that a little goes a long way.  All the same, props to all for keeping it clean!  :)

BTW, I tried to get some shots of the harvest moon, but they all came out poorly.  Thanks, though, for the reminder!

Alar this site is run by someone local and hosted by KBS computers right here out of Plattsburgh.  Scott the moderator is a great guy to talk to.  If he hasn't seen this post by tommorow I'll inform him when I see him.  I know they are really busy working to make this site even better..I don't know how but they have some ideas.  I really enjoy the friendly debates.  I like to use sarcasm as an interest point.  It's nicer to read something that keeps your interest I think, my way of hooking you.  The posts are great and we can make a difference right here.  If anyone thinks my sarcasm is too much just let me know and I will try to tone it down.  It's great to see at least a few people that are taking an interest in the world large and small.  I like the lack of foul language, there are so many better descriptive words.  Oh ya tonight is the harvest moon, it will appear large and colorful.  Check it out if you get a chance, it will be worth it.  Happy Fall to all.

Intellectual discussions are good!

Do you guys know if this site is still "run by someone" or if it's just coasting on auto-pilot?  I sent in an email a couple weeks ago offering to provide some images (free of licensing fees) for the site layout, but I didn't get so much as an autoresponse...nor was my message returned undelivered.

P.S.  Another thing I like about it, is that peoples' comments/sarcasms/arguements are intellectual, regardless of how heated they can sometimes be.

I agree with you, Gina.  I'd hate to see foul language here.  In the cases where I've seen sarcasms, I believe people feel comfortable enough to air their true thoughts on this site.

I agree that the dog park at Baliey Ave is much nicer!

Alar is exactly right on about the first come, first park.

I, too, appreciate the clean language.

I agree that some people here are sarcastic in some replies but I must say that at least its only sarcasm and no foul mouths.  If vulgarity is presented by any member I hope the pipeline guys would remove them.
