I have been to Mainely Lobster well over 20 times usually bringing a large group of 8-10 people with the bill running in the hundreds. I was there yesterday and was refused a substitution of cottage cheese instead of several other items...bear in mind, cottage cheese is USUALLY offered as a choice. I didn't make a fuss at the time but today I called the owner Rick, and was told quite bluntly that if I was the type of customer to call and complain instead of ordering the alternate meal that came with cottage cheese...that he didn't need me or my group. He also asked me how many restaurants I owned when I questioned his lack of customer treatment. In short, I am appalled and shocked by the treatment I received. It would seem to me that in this economic climate that you would try to treat your customers as guests, not nuisances.
I'm very disappointed at this happening and saddened by the treatment received.
