Windmills

2008-06-19

Has anyone been to see the windmills up north?  The are impressive.  My question is, does anyone know the real value of them?  I hope their contribution to our energy issues is as substantial as the amount of space they consume.

They are quite impressive. I do not know the real value of them but I do know the contribution they have made to Rt 11 on the way to Malone, It's like a roller coaster ride. I wonder who is going to cover the cost of repairs.

The windmill companies or the taxpayer?

I heard that the wind towers are killing a lot of bats, owls and other nightlife. Can anyone confirm this? I've looked around and cannot find any answers.

North Country Wind Energy Projects

Another Field has been approved. over 100 more wind towers. My light bill hasn't seen the benefits of all this.

What do all of these wind towers really do for us beside screw up the landscape I grew up knowing?

All the power generated goes directly into the grid and we Clinton County Residents get very little to nothing at all form this project.

I have to agree with i heart pburgh.  Have you seen the view???  You can see the windmills on the horizon from miles and miles away . . .

Has anyone noticed the skyline to the north?  You can see the windmills from so far away.  No wonder the APA has a hard time approving the cell phone towers.
