Open year round, High Falls Gorge is located not to far from Plattsburgh. Many say that this 
is one of the most breathtaking walks through the Adirondack mountains. High Falls Gorge is 
located on Rt. 86 in Willmington, New York. The Ausable River flows down 300 feet from 
granite cliffs that were formed many, many years ago. 

This is a safe trip for adventurous people of all ages and is even handicap accessible. About a
45 minute drive from Plattsburgh, New York, it is worth the trip. Afterwards, visit Lake Placid
it's only 8 miles away.
