I was trying to think of a few new features for the Pipeline and I thought it would be a cool idea to have a few live streaming webcams throughout the city being broadcast on this site. A lot of bigger cities have these so why should Plattsburgh be any different? A cam downtown around Pizza Bono would be an interesting one to watch. What other places would be good to have a live streaming webcam?

I'm thinking somewhere on Route 3 would be neat even though it is the town and not the city. I also think one on Margaret Street or Clinton Street or both! Clinton would be good for events like the Mayor's cup.

Thanks for the reply and thoughts on this topic Jim. I will see if we can get a poll of some sort up for this idea. Let's see if others reply so we can get more ideas on where the community members of Plattsburgh think good places for the live broadcast webcams should be.

I think having one on Clinton Street and around Pizza Bono are too close together.  How about on the corner of Court Street and Margaret Street facing the Park?  That would be great for any of the events, such as 4th of July parade, Mayor's cup, Battle of Plattsburgh.  How about one on the monument, or the steps of city hall?

The only prolem we are having with this project is finding someone willing to mount it to their building... if anyone wants to help out please let us know!

Check with the owner of the Cornerstone Book Store.  That seems like it would be a good location, or I've heard the "green room" mentioned here on this site - that would be another good location. 

How bout our location at 317 Conelia; we could look at teh Broad St split or uptown.. Any suggestions?
