Plattsburgh's police department does an excellent job. No one knows unless you've needed them how good they are.

Plattsburgh is becoming more attractive to creeps, can't fault the cops for that. They've done a good job keeping an undercover eye on the gangs gathered on porches on Oak Street.

The fact is that most every car stopped has a drunk, drugged or stank-fingered child buggerer at the wheel. This is Plattsburgh.

You are very correct! A lot of the bad guys here don't leave after they get out of Dannemora.. They used to get a suit, $200 and a bus ticket home (no kidding around). The money is not there for this now, and it causes A LOT problems.

Just curious:

I thought parolee's had to return to their "home" county when released and report to someone there as part of the release. IE they cant stay here afterwards. Is that not the case?

Not sure where the parolees are required to go after prison, but yes, they have to remain in the town/county of thier probation, and get permission if they want to go out of the county for the weekend or whatnot.

so now that all this has been investagete, by police dept,,,Im still wondering just what did happen on the bike path,, as kibblesandbi confermed ,,the alleged victem is a nys regester sex offendder, as i had checked on and stated im my other reponse,, I do think had he been taken off the streets when he did commit this offence which he received his sexoffender status, ,,we wouldnt ne even talking about this now,, he would have been locked up,,,and all the police work, manhours , and so forth could have been spent eleswhere,, I am a firm beliver, that once a sex offender has been caught theres only one soultion, ok 2 , but as a society the second isnt allowed under laws, get the point, the first thou,,, lockem up ,,,,,throw away the keys,,forever and ever,,,our children are our most cherished gift and need to be protected,,,ok thanks for reading and I now feel a little better  thanks all for who responded to my reponses and have a great day,,,,

Gee whiz,  If she goes for him now , she's just a crazy as him.  They deserve each other. :-)  Where do people come up with these crazy ideas,  Has he been through an exam to determine if he is sane to be walking  our streets.  For Pete-Sake if he stabbed himself he can sure stab someone else.
