I agree that the last thing we need is MORE shopping centers.  I had also heard the rumors of Nascar but also heard that NASCAR "powers that be" aren't at all interested.

I can understand why NASCAR wouldn't be interested.  There's a track in NH and a track in Watkins Glen NY.  If you look at a map from overhead, these two are relatively close together.  If they'd take a closer look at this town, though, they'd see we have plenty of lodging to support the effort - HA !
