Alternative News » The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission?

“Last week, the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission kicked off their first round of hearings on the causes of the economic meltdown on Wall Street.  The commission is being compared to the the Pecora Commission launched in 1932 to investigate the causes of the Great Depression.  The Pecora commission is beloved by those who believe the solution to every problem is more laws because it was used to justify a number of new laws, including Glass-Steagall.  Of course, none of those laws addressed the real causes of the Great Depression.   It was the introduction of unsound monetary policy and central economic planning pursued by the Federal Reserve that really threw everything off balance.  The Fed was founded in 1913 to stabilize the economy and prevent a recurrence of the short-lived Panic of 1907, but instead it promptly produced the Great Depression which lasted more than 15 years…”

Plattsburgh Zumba Hump Day Hour

I want to thank everyone for the feedback regarding our first night of HDHH  ( Hump Day Happy Hour ).  I value everyone's thoughts, suggestions, ...questions, concerns, complaints or whatever is on your heart.
In order to serve the community, I envision this night to be a night of celebration. I want to share my vision of Hump Day Happy Hour with all of you so that you can each help in bringing it to fruition.
I see every Wednesday night being THE night to celebrate the week and blow off steam.  I want us all to be inspired by each other's presence and to share in the excitement and fun of the music and dance.  Above all, this night should be about health and fitness and making Zumba Fitness  available on a weekly basis to those who might not otherwise be able to make it.
I have a desire to bring the older and younger generations together to express ourselves and to give ourselves permission to let loose and be free.
With this vision in mind, please understand that our first night was indeed fun, but could have gone much more smoothly and that we are working on the aspects of the night that need improving.
Zumba Fitness is a Latin inspired dance-fitness class as well as a cardiovascular/aerobic workout intended to keep the heart rate up. The lapse in between songs renders that time ineffective, therefore, next week you can expect the HDHH to reflect the way in which the normal class lineup is run.
VIP's DJ services help us tremendously in providing sound, lights, and atmosphere.  By keeping the songs rolling and voicing announcements, the DJ's presence allows us the convenience of focusing on Zumba!  Please be advised that our next HDHH will filter out all unnecessary elements that interfere with our ability to make this vision above a reality in every way. I encourage all of you who have looked forward to HDHH with enthusiasm and anticipation to spread the word and assist us in making it a night that will benefit the whole community.
 Thank you all!

Outdoors » Peru Rod and Gun Club

Hello! This is Kris "DJ Watty".  I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all of a great little outdoor sporting club in our area.  http://www.PeruRodAndGunClub.com I spent most of this past summer DJing for their outdoor events like pig roast, paddle raffles, ect.   Some realy great people, and it is a great place to spend time wit your family.  The little pond is stock for trout for the anual kid fishing tournament, newly added skeet/trap houses, outdoor pavion for everyone to use for receptions and parties, and much more.

Anyways.... I've had a great time there with my kids and wanted to share them with you all.
