About the Event
Plattsburgh Public Library will be showing the movie “Mulan” on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 2 pm. Featuring the Voices of Eddie Murphy, Ming-Na Wen, B.D. Wong, Harvey Fierstein, the movie is Rated G and runs for 88 minutes. Mulan, a high-spirited Chinese girl, learns that her aged father is to be called into service to fight the invading Mongols. Knowing that her father would not survive the rigors of war, Mulan disguises herself as a man and joins the Chinese Army in his place. Unknown to her, her ancestors are aware of her actions and to discourage her, they order a tiny disgraced dragon, Mushu, to join her and force her to abandon her plan. The feisty "guardian" dragon joins the heroine's quest and leads her into a series of comic misadventures. All movies are free and open to the general public. Popcorn and bottled water will be served. This program is made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, Decentralization Program, administered locally by the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts.
