Local Clinton County Elected Officials to Join Statewide Call for Fair Taxation & Job Creation

Officials to highlight economic impact of budget cuts and call on Albany to put New Yorkers back to work

Plattsburgh, NY – As state legislators plan to return to Albany for a special session on the budget, local elected officials including Sam Dyer, Peter Keenan, Sara Rowden and Tom Wood will gather at the Government Center at 11:30AM on Tuesday to call on Albany to address the unemployment crisis boldly and ensure millionaires pay their fair share in taxes.

The elected officials from around Clinton County are among two hundred from across the state who have signed a letter urging the Governor and legislative leaders to extend the millionaires’ tax and invest in job creation, not tax cuts for the wealthy.
