Second Annual Northern New York Paranormal EXPO coming to Plattsburgh Oct. 16
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y– The City of Plattsburgh Recreation Department and the Northern NY Paranormal Research Society (NNYPRS) are teaming up on October 16th to present the 2nd Annual Northern NY Paranormal EXPO at the City Recreation Center from 10 am-6 pm.
Last year, more than 900 people walked through the doors of the City Recreation Center (the Old Base Gym) to see dozens of vendors spanning all types of paranormal offerings while guest speakers presented on many different topics. Organizers of this year’s EXPO expect a bigger and better event this year.
“We have many more vendors coming this year, and have some fantastic featured speakers,” Merrill McKee, President of the NNYPRS said. “David Pitkin and Joe Citro have written many books about the paranormal in New York, Vermont, and throughout New England, and have been speaking about the stories they write for years. We are very excited to be able to bring them to Plattsburgh this year.”
The EXPO will include a vendor showcase featuring a wide range of products and services including books, new age gifts and accessories, tarot cards, a spirit guide artist, reiki healing, psychic readers, handmade jewelry, herbal healing, massage, crystals, stones, tattoos, paranormal research teams, Halloween decorations, and more. Attendees can enjoy paranormally good sweets and hear from paranormal teams from as far away as Michigan.
Steve Peters, Superintendent of the City of Plattsburgh Recreation Department, described the event as family friendly. “The Paranormal Expo really is a lot of fun and its something you can bring the whole family to,” Peters said. “There will be games, a bounce house and more for the kids to enjoy, while teenagers and parents can learn more about a wide range of paranormal topics.”
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for City Recreation Center gym members, students with a college ID, and senior citizens. Children 12 and under are free. Attendees can receive $1 off the price of admission for bringing a non-perishable food item for the Clinton County Food Shelf.
