March 20th Local Food and Spring Community Garden Kick-off - Checkerhills Farm
10 AM - Indoor Seedling starting workshop (sign-up at start of the workshop)
11 AM - Seed Saving Workshop (sign-up at the start of the workshop)
12 Noon - Lunch, CSA Information, Garden Supply and Seed Swap
1 PM - Community Garden Plot Assignment Lottery and Annual Meeting
Don't forget to bring your plot holder agreement to the event: http://www.plattsburghcommunitygarden.org/i-want-a-garden-plot
NOTE: The Plattsburgh Community Garden Group will vote in a new Board of Directors for 2010 at the Annual Meeting. We could use a couple of volunteers to take their turn on the board. Requirements are to meet approximately quarterly and via email to conduct business of the group, including approval of expenditures and the deliberation of and setting of policy and process for the group and garden. A few of Last Year's board wish to give others an opportunity to serve, so I would GREATLY appreciate if you would volunteer your time for this easy and very worth-while cause.
Remember, you don't have to be a plot gardener to be a member of the Plattsburgh Community Garden Group, you simply need to pay the $25 annual membership fee. Any member can vote and is encouraged to consider serving on the board of directors, as Nora Teter has for the past year as a non-plot-gardener supporter of our endeavor
