Don't just think, envision!

PLATTSBURGH, NY (February 18, 2010)__ Consider all you know about your business and then envision where you would like to be in the future.  This seminar series will help those who are already in business and those who are just starting out, to create a roadmap to a more successful business..

In cooperation with ComLinks Women's Entrepreneurial Business Center (WEBC), Rick Leibowitz Regional Director and Andy Allison, Business Advisor with the North Country Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will present this seminar series at ComLinks WEBC, 343 West Main Street, Malone, beginning Tuesday, March 9, from 4:30-7:00 p.m. The schedule is:.

March 9:   Writing an Effective Business Plan.  In this seminar, learn the best way to approach writing your business plan. Whether you are starting out or already in business, a business plan is your road map to success.  We will discuss: (1) quantifying your goals, (2) indentifying opportunities and threats and (3) information that will help you forecast success.

March 16:  Keeping Score to Win the Game: Cash is King. During this session, participants will learn to highlight the key performance indicators that drive their particular business models.  Our facilitators will help participants create forecast scorecards with specific and measurable goals for the upcoming months (having some past financial statements at this session would be helpful, but it is not necessary).  Particular attention will be paid to how cash flow influences business decisions and provide some helpful tips on managing operating capital.

March 23:  Right Place, Right Time Marketing. Marketing is an investment, not an expense.  Participants will evaluate their existing customer profiles and identify who may be missing.   There will also be a discussion about different advertising mediums and the importance of time and place in creating a more cost effective marketing plan.

March 30:  More Customers, More Profits.  Customers are the core to every business.  This session will explain why exceptional customer service should become a focal point of your operations and methods to use in developing customer relations training for your employees.  Participants will also learn about ways to increase revenues by expanding your internal marketing network.
